Soooo... With the help of a friend, I have been able to share a few news stories with you. If you so choose to read them, enjoy. If not... Well.... I have nothing to say about that. :)
Although I am poor, I have looked through my wardrobe and have found it lacking. Especially now that my job has gone to a uniform dress code. What do I do with the things that were appropriate for work that are no longer? How do I make them alright for my everyday wear? How do I spice up my cloths with out going broke or resorting to Walmart? Embellishment and thrift shopping. I have made a tentative date with a friend to go on a tour of the thrift shops in the area to (hopefully) find what I need to work with. With the garments that I find on this trip, a few garments already in my closet, and liberal use of trims, appliques, iron-on transfers, and even a bit of fabric dye, I hope to "Dr Frankenstein my way to a few "new" garments in the closet. More on this later.
Today I have been thinking. I know, dangerous... But I have been, so what are ya' gonna do? There are many types of geeks in the world... and I have found that I am geeky on so many levels that I don't even know where to begin to describe myself. I am a history geek. I am a politics geek. I am a gamer geek. I am a scifi geek. I am even beginning to be a (*gasp*) fantasy geek. I am OK with all of this. Most people I know have these kinds of interests. If not these specific ones... well, interests that border on the obsessive. I have grown to accept this and move on. Sorry folks, I am just waxing philosophical. No real point... just a random stream of consciousness.
